SideVision Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SideVision iPhone and iPad application ("Service") provided by Puddle Labs ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

SideVision provides second-view practice monitoring and delayed mirror features, including:

  • Camera Device and Monitor Device modes for nearby Apple devices
  • Live and delayed practice video preview
  • Local peer-to-peer device discovery and connection
  • Camera-side recording and saved practice clip review
  • Display controls such as delay, fit/fill mode, and video rotation

3. No Account Requirement

SideVision currently does not require an account or login. Practice clips and app preferences are primarily stored locally on your devices. You are responsible for managing your devices, backups, Photos library, and local app data.

4. Permissions and Device Requirements

Certain features require compatible iPhone or iPad devices and permissions such as Camera, Local Network, and Photos access. If you deny or later revoke permissions, some features may not work or may be limited. Peer-to-peer streaming depends on device performance, network conditions, operating system behavior, and battery or thermal state.

5. Accuracy, Delay, and Safety

  • Video delay, frame rate, connection quality, and recording timing may be inaccurate, delayed, incomplete, or unavailable.
  • SideVision is intended for personal practice form review. It is not a medical, safety, emergency, professional coaching, diagnosis, instruction, or official training-certification tool.
  • You are responsible for your practice environment, physical safety, device placement, and surrounding people or property.
  • Use the Service only in a safe practice area and do not place devices where they may be struck by equipment, people, or nearby objects.

6. Free and Paid Features

SideVision may offer free features and paid features through auto-renewing subscriptions or other in-app purchases. Paid features are processed through Apple In-App Purchase and are subject to Apple's payment, subscription, cancellation, refund, and family sharing policies.

Subscription terms, prices, trial availability, renewal periods, and included features are shown in the app and in Apple's purchase sheet before purchase. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings.

7. Your Content

You are responsible for the videos and other content you record, save, export, or share using the Service. Do not record or share other people in a way that violates their privacy, publicity rights, studio, facility, venue, or applicable rules, or applicable law.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, tamper with, abuse, or disrupt the Service except as permitted by law
  • Attempt to bypass subscription, entitlement, usage limit, or security mechanisms
  • Use the Service to violate laws, studio, facility, venue, or applicable rules, or the rights of others
  • Misuse another person's data, device, Apple ID, or subscription
  • Use automated tools or scripts to interfere with the Service or its third-party providers

9. Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on Apple services, Firebase, and other platform services. These third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or data handling outside our control.

10. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may add, remove, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page or announced in the app where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, trademarks, logos, and content, is owned by Puddle Labs or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or available at all times.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Puddle Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or lost data damages arising from your use of the Service.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of the Republic of Korea, unless applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.
