FAQ
What devices do I need?
SideVision is designed for iPhone and iPad. For the best practice setup, use one iPhone as the Camera Device at the side or behind you and a second iPhone or iPad as the Monitor Device where you can see it during practice.
Do I need an account or server?
No. SideVision does not require an account or backend server for the core mirror flow. Nearby devices connect directly using Apple local peer connectivity.
How do I connect the devices?
Open SideVision on both devices. On the camera phone, choose Camera Device. On the monitor device, choose Monitor Device. Keep both devices nearby and allow Camera and Local Network permissions when prompted.
Why can't the monitor find the camera?
Check the following:
- Both devices have Local Network permission enabled for SideVision.
- Both devices are awake, nearby, and not in Low Power Mode if possible.
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled on both devices.
- The camera phone is in Camera Device mode and the monitor is in Monitor Device mode.
- If the connection was interrupted, tap the reconnect/search control on the monitor device.
Why does the video look delayed or choppy?
SideVision intentionally supports video delay for movement review. Extra stutter can happen when devices are far apart, the local wireless environment is busy, battery or thermal limits are active, or the camera device is under load. Move devices closer together and close heavy background apps if needed.
How do delay, Fit, Fill, and rotation work?
The monitor can show live video or delay the received frames so you can see your movement just after it happens. Fit shows the whole camera image. Fill crops the image to fill the monitor screen. Rotation helps when the camera and monitor are in different orientations.
Where are recorded practice clips stored?
Clips recorded by the Camera Device are stored locally in the app on that device. You can review saved clips in Practice Clips. If you choose to save a clip to Photos, it is copied to your Photos library.
How do I delete my data?
Delete saved practice clips from the Practice Clips screen where available. Videos exported to Photos must be managed in the Photos app. Because SideVision does not use an account-based cloud library, uninstalling the app also removes local app data from that device.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Open SideVision's Pro or subscription screen where available, or manage your subscription from Apple account subscription settings. In-app purchases are processed by Apple.
How do I request a refund?
Refund requests for Apple In-App Purchases must be submitted through Apple's Report a Problem page. Email us if you need help finding the right Apple support flow.
