GoDivot Privacy Policy

Puddle Labs ("we," "us," or "our") provides GoDivot, an iPhone and Apple Watch golf shot tracking app. This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled when you use GoDivot and how it is used. GoDivot does not require an account or login.

1. Information We Handle

Information you enter or create in the app

• Golf round records, shot locations, shot order, clubs, putts, and notes you add or edit
• App preferences such as distance unit, map provider, notification choices, and club setup

Sensor and device data used for app features

• Precise location from Apple Watch while a round is active, used to record shot positions and round paths
• Apple Watch motion data used to detect golf swings and calculate swing-related metrics
• HealthKit data, if you grant permission, including heart rate, active energy, walking/running distance, respiratory rate, and golf workouts
• Elevation-related data used to estimate elevation change during a round

Subscription and purchase information

• Subscription entitlement status and product identifiers provided by Apple StoreKit
• We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Payments and refunds are handled by Apple.

Analytics and diagnostics

• App interaction events, screen views, subscription-related events, app version, device/OS information, and performance data collected through Firebase Analytics
• Remote Config fetches used to show announcements, subscription copy, and other app configuration

2. How Information Is Stored

Your round, shot, path, and preference data is primarily stored locally on your devices using Apple platform storage such as SwiftData and UserDefaults. The Apple Watch sends round data to the iPhone using Apple Watch Connectivity.

GoDivot does not provide an account system and does not sync your personal round history to an online account.

3. How We Use Information

• To detect golf swings and record shot positions during a round
• To display round maps, shot distances, elevation changes, heart rate, and performance statistics
• To save golf rounds as workouts in Apple Health when you grant HealthKit permission
• To manage free and paid features through Apple In-App Purchase subscriptions
• To provide maps, announcements, customer support, app analytics, and service improvement
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

4. HealthKit

HealthKit access is optional and controlled by Apple's permission prompts and the Health app settings. GoDivot may read heart rate, active energy, walking/running distance, respiratory rate, and workout data to show round statistics. GoDivot may write golf workouts to Apple Health when you allow it.

We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, tracking, or sale to third parties.

5. Location and Motion Data

GoDivot uses location while a round is active to record each shot and your round path. Location accuracy may vary based on GPS conditions, course layout, buildings, trees, weather, and device settings.

Apple Watch motion data is processed to detect swings and calculate swing metrics. Motion data is used for GoDivot features and is not used for advertising or tracking.

7. Sharing and Sale of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising tracking. We may share information only when necessary to operate the app through the providers listed above, when you ask us to provide support, with your consent, or when required by law.

8. Retention and Deletion

Round, shot, path, and preference data stored on your device remains there until you delete it in the app, uninstall the app, erase the device, or otherwise remove it through Apple's device tools. Analytics and diagnostic data handled by Firebase is retained according to Firebase settings and applicable law.

Because GoDivot does not maintain an account for your round history, deleting local app data on your device is the primary way to remove your personal round records.

9. Your Choices

• You can manage Location, Motion & Fitness, Health, and Notification permissions in iOS and watchOS Settings.
• You can manage HealthKit permissions in the Apple Health app.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple account subscription settings.
• You can contact us to ask questions about privacy or support requests.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate for the nature of the information we handle. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
